Getting out of a duff date

Written by admin. Posted in Uncategorized, over 50 dating

Despite your best efforts, not every date will end in sunshine and happiness. Bad dates are just like a move trailer that look great but the film sucks.

So you decide that the date is not going great and you don’t have much in common. At this stage you have a choice to make whether to see the date out or exit gracefully straight away. The downside of seeing it out is that the other person may not feel the same and then you go through the stressful period of waiting for the call to come and having to find the words to say no. Exiting gracefully, requires a bit more courage but  ends things cleanly and you can get on without the pressure of having to say no to a second date. Here are a few sentences you might like to consider using -

“Let’s not have a coffe and notch this one up to experience.”

“I would prefer to call it a night. How do you feel?”

“Its a shame this didn’t work out as well as we hoped. Shall we make tracks?”

“let’s raise a glass to a valiant try and get the check”

There are a thousand ways to say that it’s not working. It’s up to you whether just to go for it or delay the moment of truth.
