Stop whining

“pay attention to me because I have had a hard time and am helpless, pennyless and unlikely to amount to much because of my chronic bad luck”. What a way to start a date but lot’s of people do because that is their sweet spot. Whining is what they know and do best and are therefore totally comfortable. Meanwhile the poor sod who came out for a first date is watching the minute hand on the restaraunt clock and hoping to god you don’t want a desert.

We all have something to whine about and we will all want to tell our story and hopefully get a kind hearing from the nice person listening. Just not on the first date OK. It’s like a bucket of cold water being poured over you.
